LGUSD Application Guidelines

• Letter of application stating why you are interested in a position
• Resume
• Completed Ed-Join Application for Credentialed Position
• Copy of California Credential or letter verifying credential application has been submitted
• Three letters of recommendation (current within five years) OR copy of your current placement file
• Copy of CBEST card, if applicable
• Copy of transcripts (need not be sealed for application); official, sealed transcripts required at time of employment

Note:  The above documents must be on file with the district before you are eligible for interview and consideration for employment.

• Eligible applications will be paper screened by Personnel and site administrators.
• Applicants who meet the key requirements of the position will be called for a Level I interview with a selected team of administrators and teachers. 
• Successful candidates may be placed on a preliminary list of eligible candidates.  Reference checks will be conducted.
•  Subsequent Level II interviews may be scheduled for the candidate with the hiring principal and site teacher(s) followed by a meeting with the Superintendent.
• Upon a recommendation to hire, each successful candidate will receive an employment offer by telephone followed by a letter confirming the offer of employment with the district.
• Salary placement will be based on verification of experience and graduate units.
