Alert Now
We are also pleased to announce that the District implemented AlertNow, a rapid communication service, designed specifically for the K-12 community delivering voice, e-mail, and emergency messages at a rate up to 2.5 million per hour quickly keeping parents and staff informed on important and time-sensitive information. In addition to delivering routine messaging, AlertNow is a critical component to every crisis plan, ensuring accurate information is communicated immediately in the event of a lockdown, relocation, evacuation, or other emergency situation. AlertNow also provides several ways parents/staff will be notified in the event of an emergency. Parents and staff have the additional option of receiving text messages from the District in the event of an emergency.
To sign-up to receive this new text service:
1) Visit the portal of the at Los Gatos Union School District AlertNow text site at www.alertnowsms.com.
2) Enter at Los Gatos Union School District six-digit PIN:______ (please call your school office for the PIN) and click Opt-In.
3) Provide a primary and an optional, secondary cell phone number.
4) Agree to the text terms and conditions and then submit the information.
After confirmation, Los Gatos Union School District will be able to send emergency alerts to the designated cell phones, keeping parents informed of the latest information.
